Remember back in May there were a few complaints of a “Peeping Tom” in the New Berlin area? Then a few in the Curran area also?
Well New Berlin police at the time blew it off as it was nothing, just warned residents to keep their doors and windows locked.
Well in June the Sangamon County Sheriffs Office stepped in and arrested William Sharrow for an incident in April of 2015.
Sharrow is currently in the Sangamon County Jail on a $250,000 Bond. He is charged with Home Invasion, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (2 Counts), & Criminal Trespass to Residence. He is ordered not to have any contact with the victim, go near the residence, or any contact with anyone under the age of 18. He has been in the Sangamon County Jail since June 4th, 2015 as he has not posted the bond.
On August 24th, 2015 his attorney has filed a motion to dismiss and the motion hearing is set for September 9th, 2015 at 11:00AM in front of the Honorable Judge Leslie Graves.
We will keep you updated on the status of his case as it is made available to us!
