Campers Flooded At Illinois State Fire OVER 5 FEET OF WATER, Fire Department Sends Boat In!

The Springfield Fire Department called for a boat and other water-rescue gear in order to rescue the stranded campers in the Happy Hollow of the Illinois State Fair Grounds.

The water was estimated to be about 5 feet deep, but the Springfield Fire Department was concerned about the electrical connections at each campsite.The Springfield Fire Department did not enter the water till the power was turned off, but eventually did to check the well-being of those inside. No injuries were reported, but some of the campers were reported to be floating away.
